5 TIPS ON HOW TO SLAY IN A MINI DRESS

So what really stops us from wearing short dresses, is it the fear of how you will be perceived
or our own insecurities? For a long time I couldn't wear anything short first because people always made fun of my toned calf muscles and second because I'm tall  with full hips which means anything I wear looks much shorter and even more inappropriate.
Let's face it short dresses are uber cute and at one point or another we all wish we could wear them without feeling so self conscious. Today I thought I'd share with you some of the tips that helped me ignore my insecurities and explore the world of all things thigh high.

Body confidence: you don't have to look like a Victoria secret model to slay in a mini dress, be confident in your body and play up what you love most about it. If you are not confident about your body then all the other tips might not really help.

Breast or legs; Avoid low cut mini dresses instead go for a halter or high neck piece. showing shoulders and arms instead of breast looks more flattering as it balances out the look without exposing too much. if you have to show cleavage then opt for a dress with a lower hem line.

Flattering style/cut;  Depending on your body type pick out a dress that is flattering to you, ie. one that accents your waist, it is also advisable that ladies with a fuller lower body should wear dresses that are fitted at the top and and those with a fuller upper body should avoid dresses that accent the top.

Pay attention to the Fabric; Pick out mini dresses made out of quality fabrics. When the fabric looks cheap so do you. Avoid see through fabrics, but if you do go for, say a chiffon make sure it has a proper lining, keep it light and cute and iron your clothes.

Beware of the triad - shinny tinny tight; you wanna look cute in your mini dress so wearing a shinny, tinny tight dress is not what your want. It reeks of trying too hard and attention seeking and that is the total opposite of cute and flirty. unless you are going to the club or something.

Remember to always keep your accessories to a minimum only wear what you need. do you have any more tips. do share in the comments below.
